DENVER,
May 7, 2004 – Colorado Catastrophe, Inc. (www.COCAT.com),
the leading provider of restoration and reconstruction services
in the Rocky Mountain region, today announced it has changed its
name to COCAT, LLC.
Known and trusted over the years as Colorado Catastrophe, the privately
held company changed its name to support a strategy that builds
on its strength and legacy to extend its capabilities and geographic
reach.
Experts in delivering comprehensive disaster recovery services,
COCAT has successfully restored thousands of residential, commercial,
and industrial properties damaged by fire, flood, mold and other
natural or man-made disasters. COCAT also has a long and successful
history in residential and commercial general contracting, remodeling
and renovation.
“In the past three years, COCAT has expanded rapidly. The
new name and brand identity demonstrate the company's expanded capabilities
across a wider range of services and reflects our plans to expand
beyond the Rocky Mountain region,” said Trevor Martin, COCAT
Chief Executive Officer. “We are proud of the Colorado Catastrophe
legacy; however, our investment in the COCAT brand represents a
corporate identity that supports our long-term growth strategy.”
A strategic marketing campaign accompanies the rebranding initiative
and includes a new company logo, regional print advertising, direct
mail, corporate communications, increased trade show activity, increased
activity with the firm's growing network of expert subcontractors
and a redesigned website.
The newly redesigned company website, www.COCAT.com, incorporates
numerous valuable resources, including detailed information on COCAT
services and expertise, consulting and educational services, and
links to other helpful resources for residential and commercial
customers.
COCAT has numerous stakeholders including employees, customers,
subcontractors and suppliers. Martin states, “This strategy
gives us the opportunity to reach out to our customers and inform
them of our expanded capabilities. It is also a broader effort to
reinforce COCAT’s commitment to its many constituents. We
are striving to be the company of choice for our many stakeholders.”
Martin began his career in corporate America, working in information
technology for such Fortune 500 companies as American Express and
First Data Corporation. In 2001, he joined his brother, COCAT President
Jack Martin, a third-generation general contractor, in guiding the
company Jack established 20 years ago. Rounding out the management
team is CFO & General Manager Pat Hayes. Pat has a diverse corporate
background with experience in both finance and operational roles
for DoubleClick, Inc. as well as high-tech manufacturing companies.
Martin says “We have intentionally drawn talent from other
industries to complement our vast general contracting and disaster
recovery expertise.”
